koppe Privacy Policy

koppe is a Windows-only, fully local clipboard-history launcher. All data — clipboard contents, images, source application names, snippets, and settings — is stored only on the user’s device. There is no external transmission, no sync, no telemetry, no cloud storage, no account, and no advertising.

Information We Collect and Its Purpose

koppe captures clipboard contents that the user copies and stores them as a local history, used solely for displaying history, searching, restoring to the clipboard, auto-pasting, applying the exclusion list, managing snippets, and applying settings. The captured data is:

Text (CF_UNICODETEXT). When CF_HTML or CF_RTF are present in the same clipboard session, they are stored alongside as companion payloads (search and duplicate detection use plain text only).
Images (PNG and DIB-family formats, normalized to PNG for storage).
The source application’s executable file name (source_app, used for exclusion matching).
User-created snippets.
Application settings.

We do not capture file lists (CF_HDROP), URLs, OLE-embedded objects, virtual files, CF_ENHMETAFILE, audio, or application-specific binaries.

Where Data Is Stored

History and snippets are stored in a local SQLite database, images are stored as local image files, and settings are stored in config.json. All data lives under Tauri appDataDir() (Windows’ packaged app data area).

Retention, Deletion, and User Controls

History is retained according to the configured item-count, byte-size, and age limits. Users can delete individual items, delete everything, edit the exclusion list, adjust history limits, and toggle auto-start. Uninstalling the app may remove the history, images, and settings stored on the device.

The exclusion list, matched by source application name, is always active, and by default common password managers (1Password, KeePass, KeePassXC, Bitwarden, and similar) are observed but never saved. As a known limitation, copies originating from a browser’s built-in password manager appear only as chrome.exe or similar, and cannot be distinguished from the browser itself unless the entire browser is excluded.

koppe は Windows 専用のローカル完結型クリップボード履歴ランチャーです。クリップボード内容、画像、コピー元アプリ名、定型文、設定値を含むすべてのデータをローカル端末にのみ保存し、外部送信なし／同期なし／テレメトリなし／クラウド保存なし／アカウントなし／広告なしで動作します。

取得する情報と利用目的

koppe は、ユーザーがコピーしたクリップボード内容をローカル履歴として扱い、履歴表示・検索・クリップボードへの復元・自動貼り付け・除外アプリ判定・定型文管理・設定反映のためだけに使います。取得対象は次のとおりです。

テキスト（CF_UNICODETEXT）。同一クリップボードセッションに同時に存在する場合のみ、付随ペイロードとして CF_HTML / CF_RTF も保存します（検索・重複判定はプレーンテキストのみ）。
画像（PNG / DIB 系を取得し、保存は PNG に正規化）。
コピー元アプリの実行ファイル名（source_app、除外判定に使用）。
ユーザーが作成した定型文。
アプリ設定値。

ファイル一覧（CF_HDROP）、URL、OLE 埋め込み、仮想ファイル、CF_ENHMETAFILE、音声、アプリ固有バイナリは取得しません。

保存場所

履歴と定型文はローカル SQLite、画像はローカル画像ファイル、設定は config.json として、Tauri appDataDir() 配下（Windows の packaged app data 領域）に保存します。

保持・削除・ユーザー制御

履歴は設定された件数、容量、日数の上限に従って保持されます。ユーザーは履歴の個別削除、全削除、除外アプリリストの編集、履歴上限の変更、自動起動の切替を操作できます。アンインストールにより、端末上に保存された履歴、画像、設定が削除される可能性があります。

コピー元アプリ名による除外リストは常時有効で、既定で主要なパスワードマネージャ（1Password / KeePass / KeePassXC / Bitwarden 等）はコピーを観測しても保存しません。既知の限界として、ブラウザ内蔵パスワードマネージャ由来のコピーは chrome.exe などとしか見えないため、ブラウザ全体を除外しない限り個別判別はできません。
